Help Me Celebrate 50 Years by Saving Snuffles’ Life

Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers—

Today I turn 50. I thought about planning a big party—but honestly, there’s only one thing I want: to save my dog, Snuffles.

Snuffles is more than a pet. He’s been my loyal companion through some of the toughest and most beautiful chapters of my life. He’s made me laugh, comforted me in silence, and reminded me to get outside and breathe. Now he needs me—and maybe you, too.

Snuffles has been diagnosed with severe glaucoma secondary to cataracts in his right eye, and it’s progressed quickly. The pressure is causing him constant pain, and if left untreated, it will risk not just his sight, but his quality of life. I would be forced to consider the unthinkable—euthanasia. Our vet has recommended urgent surgical interventions up to and including removal of the damaged eye to relieve his suffering. Without it, Snuffles is in pain every day.

The estimated cost is up to $3,500, including ablation and/or surgery, follow-up care, and medication. As many of you know, vet bills can add up fast—and while I’m doing all I can, I can’t cover this on my own.

So for my 50th birthday, I’m asking for something different:
