After a recent health issue, I was laid off from my job after sharing my physical needs with my employer. Although the role was challenging and low-paying, I stayed because they covered my health insurance, and I supplemented my income with my savings. Things became even more difficult when my mother's health declined rapidly. I made the decision to move her from my brother's care into a Senior Care Facility, following her medical team's advice. Unfortunately, my brother had already taken control of her bank account and was withdrawing her pension, leaving us without the funds needed for her care.
My aunt and I did everything we could, pooling our resources to cover my mother's monthly expenses. This quickly drained my savings and maxed out my credit cards. When my mother passed away in January, I discovered that her remaining funds had been taken, leaving me responsible for her final expenses, including cremation and taxes. With no financial cushion left, I fell behind on my rent, and eviction proceedings have now started. Despite my best efforts to find a new job, my credit has suffered, and affordable housing options are limited.
I have roles lined up for the future, but I need immediate support to get my account status current and avoid losing my home. I want to apologize for asking for help and thank everyone who considers supporting me. I am treating this as a loan to be paid back, not a handout. Your support means the world to me during this difficult time.
