Help me care for my disabled partner
Donation protected
If my mom figures out money to pay her car payment or there is any extra left over, the funds will be used to support my disabled and chronically ill partner.
Jay was born with something called Holt Oram Syndrome, which resulted in heart defects and limb deformities. They were diagnosed later in life, in 2011, with scoliosis. As they reached the age of 20 in 2016, Jay started experiencing mobility issues and chronic pain, which resulted in them needing to use mobility aids. From there, their health rapidly declined. Now, Jay wakes up every day in an extreme amount of pain and feeling very sick. They also commonly experience fatigue, brain fog, cognitive issues, weakness, neasea, vertigo, fainting, migraines, urological issues, and seizures. Because of life circumstances, Jay has not recieved the medical care that they need, so they are still in the process of being diagnosed. They have been experiencing awful physical and mental health flare ups lately- at a concerning level. We need help in order to have funds to take care of Jay's needs and to get them the medical care they deserve.
Jay's medical diagnoses so far include:
Holt Oram Syndrome
Congenital PDA and VSD (closed up)
Seizure disorder
Muscular atrophy
Neasea/vomiting
Neurogenic bladder
Urinary retention
Muscle spasms
GERD
IBS
Chronic UTIs
Scoliosis
Degenerated disc
Chronic migraines
Chronic pain
Chronic fatigue
Joint pain
Vitamin D deficiency
History of high blood pressure
Things we need to raise money for include:
-a new mattress for scoliosis and chronic pain
-a new manual wheelchair and/or power chair
-mobility aids and modified tools suited for disability
-medical supplies
-seizure meds
-supplements
-pain medication
-specialist appointments
-emergency room visits
-daily living essentials and hygiene products
-essentials to make our room more accessible and comfortable
-transportation/gas money to get to appointments, pharmacies, and stores
-therapy
-workout gear for at home physical therapy
- food for Jay's special chronic illness friendly diet
-food delivery for low energy and high pain days
For long term goals: I would also like to eventially save up for our own disability accessible apartment and a car in order to get us to Jay's doctor's appointments.
