Hi friends,

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.

Henry is my 13-year-old best friend, and I’ve been lucky enough to love him since he was just 5 months old. I rescued him from a puppy mill breeding farm in Florida when he was actively dying. He was so sick that it took four long months of constant care, vet visits, and sleepless nights to nurse him back to health. From that moment on, he became my shadow, my comfort, and my constant.

Henry has been by my side through every chapter of my life — from Florida to Colorado, through moves, losses, growth, and new beginnings. He is the sweetest, most loyal soul I’ve ever known. Anyone who has met him knows his gentle heart and calm presence.

Recently, Henry was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. His heart is now twice the normal size, and the condition has caused fluid to build around his lungs, making it hard for him to breathe. He has already required oxygen therapy, IV medications, and ongoing treatment just to keep him stable and comfortable.

While there is no cure, my goal is simple:

to give Henry comfort, dignity, and love for the remainder of his journey.

The veterinary costs have been overwhelming, and I’ve also had to miss work to monitor him closely and respond to emergencies. Between emergency visits, medications, oxygen support, follow-up care, and lost wages, I am struggling to keep up financially — but I don’t want Henry to suffer because of that.

I am asking for help to:

• Cover emergency and ongoing veterinary bills

• Pay for his heart and respiratory medications

• Support continued comfort care and monitoring

• Help offset lost income while I care for him
