Help Me Buy a Reliable Car — A Life-Changing Opportunity
Hi, my name is Danielle Fielding, and I’m fundraising to buy a reliable car — a 2019 Nissan with only 55,000 miles — for $5,500. This isn’t just about convenience. It’s about health, safety, and peace of mind.
I live with multiple chronic illnesses, including multiple sclerosis (MS). Every day comes with physical and mental challenges — from pain and fatigue to brain fog and mobility struggles. Getting to my many medical appointments is hard enough without reliable transportation — and without a car, it often feels impossible. I’ve missed critical care because I simply had no way to get there. This car would change that.
Right now, we’re a one-car family. My husband takes our only vehicle to work each day, and his commute is 40 minutes each way. That means I don’t have access to a car at all during the day — not for doctor appointments, not for emergencies, not even to pick up my daughter if she needs me during school hours. I’m stuck until he gets home in the evening, and it’s a constant source of stress and anxiety.
I also clean houses to help support my family, and having a car helps me get to the jobs I already have. I’m not trying to take on more work — my health doesn’t allow for that — but I am trying to hold onto the little bit of stability I have. A car would allow me to continue working safely, within my limits, without the constant fear of being stranded.
Most importantly, this car would help me show up for my daughter — to get her to and from school when needed, to be there for her in emergencies, and to just be present in her life without depending on others for transportation.
Because of my MS and other conditions, I struggle with executive functioning — planning, organizing, getting things done. Writing this and asking for help isn’t easy, but this car is a rare opportunity I can’t ignore.
Your Support Would Mean:
Access to consistent, life-saving medical care
Reliable transportation while my husband is at work
The ability to keep working within my physical limits
Being there for my daughter when she needs me
Emergency readiness and independence
Peace of mind for me and my family
If you’re able to donate — even a few dollars — or share this with others, it would make an enormous difference in our lives. Thank you for reading, for caring, and for any support you can give.
With love, gratitude, and appreciation
Danielle Fielding
