My name is Bex & I'm disabled.

I need to upgrade my family vehicle to a wheelchair accessible vehicle, but I don't have the funds to do it, because of a little something called the disability premium.

I don't wish to go through the motability scheme because in the event of the DWP deciding you're suddenly not disabled enough, they swoop in & take your vehicle away. There is an issue with that, I'm still disabled whether or not the DWP agrees & I have a lot of specialist appointments I am require to travel to & from. Without an accessible vehicle this becomes a problem.

I need 2000 people to donate £10 or 4000 people to donate £5 to help me reach my target of £20k. This will help me buy the vehicle I require, alongside the money I'm putting into it personally. I unfortunately, cannot afford the van that meets my needs, on my own & that's why I've turned to a crowd funder.

My condition means I can dislocated & relocate joints, so the vehicle must have an electric ramp & an electric handbrake system, so I'm not potentially dislocating my shoulder, elbow or wrist. It has to be automatic too, which for some strange reason can add up to £2k to the listing price of a vehicle, WAV or not. WAVs are generally more expensive because of the adaptations that have been made to a vehicle. These can be as high as £10k, which is than added to the cost of the vehicle.

Please help me reach my goal of £20k, so I retain some much needed independence, I'm not housebound by the lack of vehicle & so I'm still able to attend my appointments.
