I am writing to you to see if you will help me with the biggest thing I have ever tried to do.


I can't do it alone but I believe I can do it with help from people in my community who believe in me. 


I have a goal of raising $2000 to for me to go to the Dominican Republic and help build homes and schools for people who need them and have no way of getting them without help. The schools that I will build are intended to last the students there a long time, and be resistant to flooding and natural disasters.


I am going "alone" (meaning I won't know anyone else there when I get there). This trip would be part of a program called "Global Leadership Adventures: Building a Sustainable World").  I am excited to push myself, work hard, use my Spanish, and share the skills I developed at the NuVu MIT Engineering school and on stage crew at my high school. In the DR, I will be building wood frame houses and schools, using plastic bottles as insulation.


Is there any chance you could help me?


I believe in what I am doing.  I want to dare to try something really different, really big, and really generous to people who need it. And I think I will grow a lot in the process.
