Help Me Build My Cat Barn Rescue & Sanctuary

Story

Hi everyone! A lot of you who follow my personal account know that since I moved to Delmarva I became aware of a massive stray cat problem. I take care of a colony of 20-30 abandoned and feral cats and provide food, shelter, bedding, vitamins and love! I would love to help even MORE colonies with food and shelter but I already am at my limit financially. My family has spent thousands on helping these animals in just a few short months. There are sadly 100s of colonies scattered across the shore and the problem is escalating. I am trying to assist in trapping, neutering, and releasing colony cats, however mixed into these colonies is a large amount of domesticated abandoned cats. These cats are socialized and friendly but bad at fending for themselves outdoors. I can personally attest that they are very easily transitioned back into living indoors full time with humans because I have adopted three of them! If you are able to help, my plan is to have a cat barn built on our rural property with an attached screened in porch. I would use the small cat barn to rescue and rehabilitate abandoned and feral cats then ideally rehome them with loving cat parents. Any animal that is not adoptable for any reason would just stay with us permanently. I have no intention to stop providing as much care as I can for the abandoned and feral cats that do not live on our property. I am humbly asking for your donation - no matter how big or how small - to help provide them with a safe space, food, medical care and supplies. I have begun the long and painstaking process of becoming accredited as a 501 c3 non-profit. Sadly, aside from receiving grants, this will not have much of an effect. As a Delaware resident, I purchase all the cat supplies and thankfully there is no retail sales tax. I’m not a veterinarian or animal behavior specialist. I am just a person who loves these beautiful animals. I am able to provide some food and shelters but I could help so many more animals with your help. All money collected will go towards the building of the cat sanctuary barn, shelters for feral cats, food, and medical care. No animal deserves to starve or freeze to death outside. Thank you for helping and if you know someone who would like to help, please share this.
