Hi, I'm Rita, a wildlife rescuer and carer in Macquarie Park volunteering with the wonderful Sydney Wildlife Rescue organisation. I'm currently limited in the care I can provide by the lack of a large aviary/enclosure but I have the most amazing backyard environment for various wildlife to grow and/or rehabilitate in but the problem is it's all open. I've had quotes to enclose the area with netting but it's not cheap and it's been a bad time recently with unforeseen medical and other expenses. Can you help me reach a target of $2700 to build an enclosure and save more possums, birds, lizards, etc. as needed without having to squish them into cages especially when I'm unable to be home. The space will allow them to learn how to forage/fly/hop or whatever they need to do to recover in a natural bush setting. Spaces like these are getting scarcer with people moving into smaller homes more and more. Can you please help?
