Help Me Build a Welcoming Second Grade Classroom!

Hi everyone! My name is Alexus Floyd, and I’m entering my very first year as a second grade teacher and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m also in my final semester at Marshall University, earning my Master’s in Education. Teaching has always been my passion, and through hard work, advocacy, and persistence, I’ve made this dream a reality.

As I begin this journey, I want to give my students the very best start to their school year, but setting up a classroom from scratch comes with a lot of expenses. From basic supplies like pencils and folders to books, storage bins, classroom décor, and hands-on learning tools, every little bit helps me create a space where all students feel supported and ready to learn.
