Hi my name is Katie & I regularly fundraise for Tails but usually with a bake sale and today I’m here just to ask for your kindness.
Myself and my parter are currently on holiday in St Lucia and on the Friday night party and this beautiful baby girl cat was heavily pregnant came to me, I fed her ( I have two cats at home and work with a rescue in England, had two foster kittens in our care before we came on holiday who thankfully found their forever home) but I knew she was ready to give birth, she rolled on her back and was clinging to me and even tried to grab me with her mouth to go under a shack with her.
I couldn’t leave her there (it’s packed and loud and full of wild dogs) so I have a very kind taxi driver who allowed me to bring her with us to our Airbnb in cap estate.
Mama 3 kittens Mum isn’t more than a year old herself, she is so loving and friendly, two of the kittens seem to be completely fine but I was concerned wasn’t feeding, but since has
Poor baby probably hasn’t had a proper nights sleep in her life so she’s exhausted and sleeping right now.
I have managed to get them into temporary foster but the rescues over there (like every where) are overrun and they deal was we need to bring at least 2 back to the UK
Tails have been in touch with Bruno Project who said they could send the cats and kittens to UK, they would organise and we would pay obviously but it’s not cheap. So a container is €2440 but this is for 6 cats so we would be spending just under £1200 on shipping alone if we take all 4.
Then they need vaccinations, neutering, certification etc and they need quarantining for 3 months while this is getting sorted (in Saint Lucia)
It you haven’t followed then story, I have saved a highlight on my instagram page @katie_cooks_alot_ where you can follow the story there.
Thanks for reading and I hope you can help me change these babies lives forever
