Hi, my name is Raul and I’m reaching out with my heart wide open.

I’ve been accepted into Berklee College of Music, one of the most respected music schools in the world. Getting in was a dream come true — a dream I’ve been chasing for over a decade. But as excited and grateful as I am, I’m also facing a very real challenge: how to afford it.

Music has been part of my life for the past 10 years. It’s not just something I do — it’s who I am. Since freshman year of high school, I’ve been deeply involved in helping my church with audio production for worship services. It’s where I learned the technical side of music, where I discovered how sound can create space for healing and connection, and where I fell in love with the behind-the-scenes magic that brings every note to life.

That passion has led me to pursue a degree in Music Production and Engineering at Berklee. I want to become the person who helps artists shape their sound, who captures emotion in every mix, and who tells stories through music — even if I’m not the one holding the mic.

I’ve worked hard, applied for scholarships, saved every dollar I could, and explored every option. But the cost of tuition, housing, and basic expenses is still more than I can manage on my own. That’s why I’m here, asking for help — not just for money, but for belief in this dream I’ve poured my heart into

Hola, mi nombre es Raúl y me acerco a ustedes con el corazón completamente abierto.

He sido aceptado en Berklee College of Music, una de las escuelas de música más respetadas del mundo. Ser admitido fue un sueño hecho realidad —un sueño que he estado persiguiendo por más de una década. Pero, aunque estoy emocionado y profundamente agradecido, también enfrento un desafío muy real: cómo pagar el semestre.

La música ha sido parte de mi vida durante los últimos 10 años. No es solo algo que hago —es quien soy. Desde mi primer año de preparatoria, he estado profundamente involucrado en apoyar a mi iglesia con la producción de audio para los servicios de adoración. Ahí fue donde aprendí el lado técnico de la música, donde descubrí cómo el sonido puede crear un espacio para la sanación y la conexión, y donde me enamoré de la magia detrás de escena que da vida a cada nota.

Esa pasión me ha llevado a perseguir un título en Producción e Ingeniería Musical en Berklee. Quiero convertirme en esa persona que ayuda a los artistas a dar forma a su sonido, que captura la emoción en cada mezcla y que cuenta historias a través de la música —aunque no sea yo quien tenga el micrófono en la mano.

He trabajado duro, he solicitado becas, he ahorrado cada dólar posible y he explorado todas las opciones. Pero el costo de la matrícula, la vivienda y los gastos básicos sigue siendo más de lo que puedo manejar por mi cuenta. Por eso estoy aquí, pidiendo ayuda —no solo económica, sino también fe en este sueño al que le he entregado el corazón.
