Help Me Bring My First Film, VENEER, to Life

Donation protected
Before anything else, I’d like to say thank you.

Last year, countless friends, family, and people I’ve never met believed in me enough to pour into my journey to California. Because of their generosity, I was able to travel across the country to participate in the MovieGuide Inklings Fellowship, an experience that changed my life forever. I met executives from Netflix, Lionsgate, and Disney, gained mentors, and learned the in’s and outs of how to succeed in a demanding industry while representing Christ. Most importantly, I received the affirmation that my years of dedication to storytelling were not in vain.

In the year since, I’ve been on the ground in Atlanta, building a network of colleagues across the city and even the country, and working on as many projects as I could get my hands on. This year alone, I have been privileged to be a part of 5 different film projects, ranging from shorts to commercials and even documentaries.

And now, it is time for me to take the leap into crafting my own film.

Think back to the time when a movie spoke to you, when it made you feel happy or sad or most importantly, seen?

Those experiences are becoming increasingly less common nowadays, and that’s why I’ve taken extra care to craft a project that I think will speak to its viewers in a deep and resonant way.

As a young husband, I’ve learned that real love isn’t just about joy and promise—it’s about sacrifice, devotion, and leadership. Marriage costs something. It asks you to keep showing up even when life delivers disappointment, loss, or hardship.

That’s why I want my first film to speak directly to young married couples, and especially to young men who are wrestling with what it really means to love sacrificially. VENEER is a sci-fi drama about a young couple who, after hardship and disappointment, are given the chance to step into an alternate reality where life worked out as they wanted it. Adam must decide whether to escape into perfection or embrace the flawed reality that has made him who he is. My hope is that this film will spark conversations about the value of commitment, the beauty of struggle, and the power of imperfections to bring real substance to life.

To make this film happen, I need to raise $10,000 in the next 45 days. That covers the entire production, post-production, and festival submissions.

Here’s how you can help:
One-Time Gift: Any amount brings us closer to the goal.

Recurring Support: I know you didn’t budget for this but if you still want to be part of the journey, you can set up recurring monthly gifts. Every bit helps us cross the finish line!

There’s so much more I could say about this project. I believe it is something truly special, and I can’t wait for you to see it. Please reach out to me if you are interested in hearing more about the movie.

But more importantly, I want you to know that I am overwhelmed by the love, support, and generosity I’ve received from you all. I know without a doubt that this would not have been possible without you. So, I wanted to express my thanks for every single prayer, donation, and share. It means more than I can say.

With gratitude,
Aaron
