Help Me Bring My Dog Kira Home from Egypt

Hi, my name is JoJo, and I’m reaching out for help to bring my sweet girl Kira home. She’s a 10½-year-old Mini Aussie mix and my whole heart. Kira isn’t just my dog—she’s my soulmate, my emotional support animal, and my best friend.

When I moved overseas for several years to do animal rescue work, I brought Kira with me from the U.S. to Egypt, because I couldn’t imagine leaving her behind. But if I had known the hell she would go through there, I never—never—would have taken her.

Her time in Egypt has been rough, heartbreaking, and traumatic. She has been poisoned three separate times, and each time she barely survived. The residual damage from those poisonings has caused her to develop epileptic seizures, and now she’s been diagnosed with incontinence due to an ectopic ureter—a rare condition affecting her kidney and bladder.

The first step is trying medication, but if it doesn’t work, she’ll need surgery to remove her left kidney and ureter.

Right now, Kira is still stuck in Egypt, and I can’t afford to bring her back to the States on my own. The costs of medication, medical care, and international transport are overwhelming. My plan is to travel in November to get her and bring her back to safety and proper medical treatment.

Funds will go toward:

• Her medications, her boarding and veterinary care in Egypt

• Flight and travel expenses for her return to the U.S. (cargo, health certificate, paperwork, etc.)

• My trip to bring her back home

• Any emergency care she may need in the meantime

I miss her every day. She’s not just an animal to me—she’s my family, my lifeline. She deserves comfort, peace, and proper care after all she’s survived.
