Help Me Bring My Cats to France

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Fidan. I’m a graduate student currently living in France, trying to rebuild my life after many hardships. But this journey hasn’t been easy.
Since I arrived, I’ve faced long administrative delays with my residence permit. For many months, I wasn’t allowed to work or leave the country. This also meant I couldn’t return to Azerbaijan to attend my brother’s funeral — a pain that I still carry with me.
Now, my biggest wish is to reunite with my four beloved cats. They are not just pets — they are my family, the only family I have left.

Who Are These Cats?
All four were rescued from the streets and need special care and love:
Morgana – She was adopted by someone as a kitten and then abandoned. Very affectionate, but extremely sensitive to stress.
Delilah – Born to a street cat. She has allergies and a sensitive body, requiring special food and close attention.
Lanah – I also found her on the street. She is deaf and has a broken tail. She has a very gentle soul and needs careful monitoring when sick because her recovery process is slow.
Şövqü – I found him after a workout, wandering the street late at night. I took him in and rushed him to the vet. After a month of healing together, he became my son. I couldn’t give him up to anyone. He’s my little son.

Why I Need Help
When I first moved to France, I couldn’t bring my cats with me. Azerbaijan is classified as “high-risk” for pet travel, which meant long procedures: rabies blood tests, vaccinations, microchips, paperwork… I started this process in January 2025, and by June 28, their quarantine period ended. Now, they are finally ready to travel to France!
During this long process:
Blood samples for rabies tests were sent to Edinburgh.
Vaccinations, microchips, documents, tests, and all veterinary care cost me around €2900.
I paid these expenses despite not being able to work.
Since I left Baku in September 2024, I’ve also paid rent for the apartment just to keep my cats safe. A kind friend took care of them and handled all paperwork on my behalf. The rabies tests were all done under my name, which means I am the only person who can travel with them. To bring all four safely, I need to travel myself — making multiple flights back and forth between France and Baku.

Why now?
  • My residence situation was finally solved, and I can now leave and re-enter France.
  • My friend in Baku, who has been taking care of my cats until now, is getting married and cannot keep them anymore. I managed to find someone temporary, but only until the end of September 2025.
  • University starts soon, so I cannot stay in Azerbaijan for long.
  • Every flight allows only one pet in cabin per passenger. If someone books a pet spot before me, or if a dog is registered first, I lose that chance. That’s why I must book the tickets as soon as possible.
  • Prices for flights and pet reservations are constantly increasing.

Cost Breakdown
I am only asking help for the flight expenses to bring them safely. Other costs (train tickets, vet fees in Azerbaijan and France, extra documents) I will cover myself.

Pet travel fee:
AZAL (Baku–Paris): €80 per cat (80x4= 240)
Turkish Airlines (Baku–Lyon via Istanbul): ~221AZN (110€) per cat (110x4=440)

Flight tickets:
  • One-way ticket: €300 – €500 (depending on airline and date)
  • Since I must fly multiple times to bring all four cats, total expenses will be very high.

Average total cost:
Bringing all four cats safely will require about €3,500 in flight and pet travel fees.

What Can I Offer in Return?
If you help me, I’d be happy to offer something in return such as online language lessons in:
Korean (I’m a certified teacher)
French (A1–B1 level)
Turkish or Azerbaijani (native speaker)

❤️ Why I Won’t Give Up
Many people told me, “If it’s this difficult, why don’t you just give your cats away or leave them behind?” But that’s not possible for me. They are my family. My babies. I can’t imagine life without them.
This campaign is my last hope to bring them home.
Please help me reunite with them.

Once they arrive, I’ll post updates and photos of their journey and new life here.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!
