Help Me Bring My Billie Girl Home Safely

Hey Beautiful Humans.

For those of you that know me, you would know that my Billie Girl is my everything.

When I was homeless she was my home and I wouldn’t have survived the last 2 years without her. She is my Psychiatric Assistance Dog and she shows up for me every single day and helps me manage and navigate everyday life.

Since Monday my girl has been unwell.

I took her to the vet on Tuesday and although she wasn’t her normal self, she was still ok. They sent us home with some medication that would hopefully settle her tummy and make her feel better.

She continued to deteriorate and by Wednesday afternoon I had taken her to emergency where she spent the night. They saw slight improvements over night so I brought her home for about 7 hours.

During that time she was very sleepy which the vet prepared me for, however she stopped drinking water, her gastro worsened, and she was visibly in pain and trembling in my arms.

I took her back to emergency where she was monitored overnight again.

They called me this morning saying that my girl hadn’t picked up at all and that she is still in lots of pain.

They suggested doing an X-ray which I immediately said yes to without considering the costs involved.

I’ve since heard from the vet again and they have highly recommended she stay in for another night.

Of course I want my girl home, but more than that I want her safe, however her safety comes at a significant cost.

I know things are so hard for everyone financially at the moment, so I don’t expect anything from anyone.

However I just wanted to reach out and see if any one is in a position where they are able and would like to help me get the care that my Billie girl needs in order to bring her back home to me safely.
