Hi, my name is Kimberly, and I’m raising funds to take part in a life changing medical volunteer program in Peru during the summer of 2026 through Volunteers Around the World (VAW).

As a college student pursuing a future in medicine, this opportunity means so much to me. Through VAW, I will gain hands on clinical experience by taking vital signs in local clinics, working directly with patients of all ages, shadowing local physicians, and helping expand access to medical and health education in underserved communities. This program allows me not only to learn, but also to serve people who truly need care and support.

Participating in this program will help me grow both personally and professionally. It will give me the knowledge, confidence, and real world exposure that will shape my path toward becoming a doctor or surgeon. More importantly, it will allow me to make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate care while learning from dedicated healthcare professionals abroad.

Hola, mi nombre es Kimberly y estoy recaudando fondos para participar en un programa médico de voluntariado que cambiará mi vida en Perú durante el verano de 2026, a través de Volunteers Around the World (VAW). Como estudiante universitaria que aspira a un futuro en la medicina, esta oportunidad significa muchísimo para mí. A través de VAW, obtendré experiencia clínica práctica al tomar signos vitales en clínicas locales, trabajar directamente con pacientes de todas las edades, acompañar a médicos locales y ayudar a ampliar el acceso a la educación médica y de salud en comunidades con recursos limitados. Este programa me permite no solo aprender, sino también servir a personas que realmente necesitan atención y apoyo. Participar en este programa me ayudará a crecer tanto a nivel personal como profesional. Me brindará el conocimiento, la confianza y la experiencia en el mundo real que marcarán mi camino para convertirme en médica o cirujana. Más importante aún, me permitirá generar un impacto significativo al brindar atención compasiva mientras aprendo de profesionales de la salud comprometidos en el extranjero.
