Help Me Bring Life-Changing Cancer Treatment to WA
Donation protected
I never imagined I’d be the person bringing a cancer treatment machine to Western Australia just to have a fair shot at survival.
But here we are… stage IV metastatic aggressive and rare cancer makes you rather desperate.
Months ago, I said to my darling husband,
"Hey love, I might need to go to Germany to get better treatment. Australia doesn’t offer hyperthermia as part of cancer care, even though there’s over 20 years of solid research behind it."
His response? “Sure.”
No hesitation. No questions asked.
God bless this man. Grateful tears.
It would have cost us about $200k.
But something didn’t sit right with me.
And it wasn’t just the money.
Why should I have to leave my own country to access a therapy that’s standard in places like Germany and the U.S.?
Can only the wealthy recover from cancer?
Why doesn’t Australia have integrative cancer centres—places that combine evidence-based therapies like hyperthermia with conventional treatments?
Why are they all overseas?
My frustration sparked a bold idea: what if I bought a hyperthermia machine?
It would allow me to use it as much as I need, over an unlimited time period, while staying where my social and emotional supports are strongest – at home.
What Is Hyperthermia?
Hyperthermia has been around for decades—not just for cancer, but for a wide range of immune-related conditions. It works by creating an artificial fever—raising your core body temperature to between 39.5°C and 40.5°C in a medically controlled space.
Cancer cells don’t like heat.
It weakens them and makes them more vulnerable to chemotherapy and radiation.
Study after study showed that hyperthermia enhances the effectiveness of conventional cancer treatments.
It seemed pretty darn obvious to me that this could improve my chances of survival.
I also know two people who credit hyperthermia with helping them stay cancer-free.
Both had to travel overseas.
❗The Problem
I knew I wanted whole-body hyperthermia. But how?
I found a clinic in Queensland—but for best results, it needs to be done at least twice a week, ideally right after chemo. That just isn’t realistic from interstate.
Then my cancer coach had an idea: contact the distributor.
And—believe it or not—they had a private, second-hand machine available! The previous owner had successfully used it to treat an autoimmune condition. (Yes—it supports a wide range of health issues by stimulating and balancing the immune system.)
The Big News!
I’m bringing the first whole-body hyperthermia machine to Perth!
To my knowledge, it will be the first of its kind in Western Australia.
First and foremost—for me.
I need every ounce of support I can get to give myself the best chance at recovery.
But this isn’t just personal—it’s pioneering.
We need innovation and choice.
Cancer shouldn’t be political. Or financial. We need treatments that aren’t constrained by bureaucracy or beholden to big pharma.
My vision is to see Australia embrace a broader, more integrated model of cancer care. I would also love one day—when I’m well—to help offer this non-invasive, life-affirming treatment to others who need it too.
Right now, I don’t know the legal logistics of this concept but I am hopeful.
My heart wants more options and real hope for people like me, right here in Perth.
How You Can Help
This machine will cost us about $50,000. That’s why I’m asking for your support—not just to help me access this treatment, but to spark a shift in how we approach cancer care in Western Australia.
Whether it’s sending love, prayers or money, your support means the world to me.
And maybe, just maybe…
you’ll save my dear husband from working until he’s 95 to pay for his wife’s cancer treatment and her bold and progressive ideas!!! LOL
Thank you for standing with me—
