I am traveling to Africa with a foundation that offers cleft lip, cleft palate, and clubfoot repairs to children in underserved communities. The foundation fundraises throughout the year for medical equipment and covers most of the expenses for these trips. However, each team member is asked to make a donation to help cover extra costs, including food, housing, and supplies during our stay. While the required fee is minimal and absolutely something I am happy to cover for myself, many friends and family members have expressed interest in donating, so while it’s not necessary, it’s very much appreciated!

This mission is especially close to my heart because I was born with clubfoot myself. Thanks to the treatment I received as a child, I am able to live a normal, active life today. Unfortunately, many children in the communities we’ll be visiting have lived with untreated clubfoot for years, simply because they haven’t had access to the care they need. Being able to help provide these life-changing surgeries is an incredible opportunity, and my personal connection to clubfoot makes this journey even more meaningful to me.
