Hi! My name is Eowyn Dillon, and I’m a junior at Marquette University majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Culture, Health, and Illness. I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping me raise $3,000 to join Marquette’s Global Dental Brigades team on a volunteer mission to Panama this January.

This one-week service trip will allow me to work alongside licensed dentists to provide much-needed dental care and education to underserved communities in Panama. Access to quality dental services is extremely limited in many parts of the world, and this is a powerful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others while pursuing what I’m most passionate about—dentistry and helping people.

I’ve been working toward a future in dentistry for years. I’ve spent the last three summers working as a dental assistant, and this summer I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer at Mission of Mercy, a free two-day dental clinic in Wisconsin. The gratitude and joy I witnessed during that experience inspired me deeply—and now I’m driven to bring that same care and compassion to people in a different part of the world.

This trip also aligns perfectly with my minor in Culture, Health, and Illness, giving me the chance to connect directly with another culture while deepening my understanding of global healthcare disparities. It’s an experience that will not only help me grow personally and academically but will also strengthen my future dental school applications.
