Hello! My name is Felipe and I’m on a journey to turn a dream into reality.
I was born and raised in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, a country that taught me what happens when freedom and opportunity begin to disappear.
Life there was not easy; scarcity, instability, and uncertainty were part of every day, but I always held onto one dream: to come to the United States, work hard, learn English, and build a better future so that when I marry and start my own family it can still the values and morals he inspired
When I arrived in the U.S., I made a promise to myself: I would never take freedom for granted. I began to study, work, and improve my English so I could participate fully in the conversations that shape this country.
One of the voices that has inspired me most is Charlie Kirk. His message about free speech, personal responsibility, and the value of honest debate resonated with me deeply. He showed me that it’s possible to speak candidly about important issues, even when opinions differ, and invite others into open dialogue. His devout faith and encouragement inspired me to finish college and get my first job as an administrative coordinator for a finance company.
The brutal death of my hero was devastating. I watched the memorial and cried for his wife and his children, and I thought, "How can I help them? How can I do what he has done for me?"
And I started to think, "I can bring Charlie Kirk to everyone, even in Venezuela!"
Now, I want to give back by creating a series of classes (in English) dedicated to studying Charlie Kirk’s life, accomplishments, and values and sharing his message beyond the U.S. to people in South and Central America.
Why This Matters
I heard Charlie Kirk delivering a podcast that emphasized the importance of immigrants and those seeking asylum to prioritize learning English and I took that to hear. Not only does it help to be part of the American conversation, but English has so much nuance, phrases and depths to the language that really capture the essence of what he stood for. I also believe that the principles of freedom, responsibility, and open debate should be shared with Spanish-speaking countries where many people feel their voices are not heard but using the language from the country that best represents these important ideals
This project is about more than just one person’s story; it’s about encouraging people, both in the U.S. and throughout Latin America, to understand the principles of freedom and to talk about them openly and respectfully.
My New Dream:
Your generosity will help me:
- Research and write lessons about Charlie Kirk’s work and philosophy
- Record and edit videos to share online
- Download and produce video and podcast clips
- Embed interview clips, morals, teachings, and philosophies
- Build a website or platform to host the class
- Add Spanish-language subtitles and share the course across South and Central America
- Cover basic costs like software, equipment, and promotion
Goal: $7500
Every dollar will go toward creating a professional, accessible course that anyone can watch and learn from. I will keep donors updated every step of the way with videos and posts as the class comes together.
