Hello dear friends,

Asking for help doesn’t come easily to me, but today I’m opening my heart and sharing something very close to it.

I am currently studying Instrumental Pedagogy (Master) at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). Music is not just what I study — it is how I breathe, how I think, and how I make sense of the world. At this moment in my life, daily practice is essential not only for my studies, but for my emotional balance and sense of grounding.

Right now, I don’t have a piano at home. This means carrying my music, my thoughts, and my hopes from one limited practice room to another, never knowing if I’ll find a place to play. Some days, this uncertainty weighs heavily and makes it hard to keep going with confidence and calm.

I have found a Yamaha AvantGrand NU1X hybrid piano — an instrument that feels incredibly close to an acoustic piano and would finally allow me to practise freely, early in the morning or late at night, without stress or interruption. The cost is CHF 4,150. I am able to contribute CHF 1,500 myself, but I cannot reach the full amount alone.

Having a piano at home would mean stability, continuity, and peace. It would give me the space to grow as a musician and future educator, to deepen my relationship with music, and to give back through teaching and performance.
