Help me bring a heartfelt family story to the screens.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Amir and I am an aspiring film director. I was born in Maryland, but moved to Uzbekistan (Central Asia) as a child and was raised there. I moved to California without my family a few years ago to pursue a career that has no prospects in the country I was raised in.

My senior film at Cal State, Long Beach was selected to be produced. In the story, the Earth is about to become unsuitable for living because of the ecological conditions, and humanity is in the midst of relocating to a remote planet. The main character - Ellie tries to keep her family together. Her husband wants to leave sooner while her father reveals that he can't do it because of his poor health and because he is so attached to his home.

This story metaphorically shadows one of my life's stories, whereby my parents are the ones staying behind, being attached to the life they are used to, and I am the one "flying to a different planet," which California definitely is. So, the story is very close to my heart.

The funding for the film is not even closely there. My project requires a specific location, extensive production design, and three production days with a fairly large crew for which I need to provide meals and craft services.
