Last week in November right before the holidays I experienced verbal abuse, an alleged physical assault, and the loss of money I had set aside for my January relocation, along with some of my belongings. Many of you saw the videos I posted on social media showing the confrontation and the behavior I experienced as racially charged. I reported the incident to LAPD and was told it may be treated as a civil dispute. I’m raising funds to cover immediate relocation and moving costs while my bank works to recover the missing funds, a process that may take up to 90 days.

I don’t usually ask for help like this, but I’m in a situation where support from my community will make a real difference.

Right now I’m in Atlanta with family clearing my head and getting grounded, but I’m returning to Los Angeles shortly to keep my move on track and pursue recovery through the proper channels. A good friend is relocating to London and has offered me a studio, and I’m doing everything I can to not lose that opportunity.
