For years I’ve struggled with debilitating fatigue, daily headaches, and body pain that's impacted every area of my life. After many misdiagnoses, last year I was finally diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). OSA is a condition that causes me to stop breathing in my sleep many times per hour. The result is oxygen deprivation to my brain, strain on my heart and entire body.

Despite trying every non-surgical option available (CPAP, nasal sprays, breathwork, positional therapy, etc.), my breathing and sleep have continued to suffer. After years of searching, I've finally found an ENT doctor that focuses on total airway health for treating sleep apnea!

Now I have a clear, evidence-baked plan of procedures that can address the root cause of my airway collapse at night. If I get these procedures, there's a very good chance they will help me breathe normally, sleep deeply, and finally get my life back.

Unfortunately, most of these procedures, although medically necessary, aren't covered by insurance. So, I'm humbly asking for help from my friends, family and community to help me heal and get my life back. My hope is that not only will I be able to show up more fully to my work and be able to return to normally functioning, but also to raise awareness for obstructive sleep apnea and the importance of treatment.

My phase-based healing plan

To make this journey tangible and transparent, I’ve organized the treatments into three healing phases:

Phase 1: Immediate Relief — $12,000

• Vivaer nasal valve repair to address collapse of my left nostril to help me breathe better (scheduled for Oct 27)

• Tonsillectomy to remove my enlarged tonsils and make more space in my airway in the throat (planned for Nov or early Dec)

• Myofunctional therapy (OMT) sessions to help retrain my tongue to not fall into the back of my throat at night

Phase 2: Structural Healing — $15,000

• Palatal expansion device (MARPE) to help address my narrow palate and expand my nasal airway

• Follow-up orthodontic work to correct my bite post expansion

• Imaging and follow up visits to make sure everything is going smoothly

Phase 3: Integration & Recovery — $4,000

• Craniosacral therapy, additional myofunctional sessions, and rest period

• Supplemental recovery care and follow-up evaluations
