While stopping at a local gas station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I met a man whose voice stopped me in my tracks. He is blind and spends his days sitting on the ground with only a small keyboard, singing gospel music for anyone willing to listen. I stopped to make a donation, and he asked me to sing with him. It was a beautiful, genuine moment that I shared in a video, and to my surprise, it has begun reaching thousands of people. Since then, I’ve received countless messages from people asking how they could help or suggesting that I create a GoFundMe. So here we are. This fundraiser is for him. My hope is to help provide him with a proper setup so he can continue sharing his incredible gift with dignity and comfort. That could include items like a quality keyboard, a speaker, a microphone, a chair, weather protection, transportation assistance, or any other needs that would improve his ability to perform. If funds exceed those needs, they will go directly toward supporting him and improving his quality of life. His faith, humility, and powerful gospel voice have inspired so many people, and I believe this is an opportunity for our community to pour back into someone who has been pouring his heart out through music.
