I’m Lisa. I’m asking for financial support because, as you know, life is not always easy.

I am currently 7.5 months pregnant and I live in Australia. I have lived here for the last 8 years on multiple visas and I call this place home. The Australian Government has just unexpectedly extended my (tourist) visa for just one more month, which means that I would have to leave the country at 8.5 months pregnant, very close to giving birth.

I would like to be able to stay here, as I’ve entered the “nesting mode” and honestly there’s nowhere else I’d like to be right now. Birth plans are arranged and I have my community of support right here.

After speaking to several immigration lawyers my only option is to apply for a partner visa (of which the cost is $9365) before the 13th of May (when my visa finishes).

I have been working hard on my paintings and selling what I could, but we’re not going to be able to cover this cost + the costs that are coming up postpartum whilst I recover and settle into my new chapter of motherhood.

Therefore, I am asking for your help, in your own capacity. The money will go towards funding the visa application, food and any costs related to birth & postpartum care for me and baby ❤️
