Help me become one of the youngest CCIEs

Thank you for taking the time to check out my page! That alone means a lot! :)

Hi, I'm Michael Hilton! I’m a 16-year-old student with a passion for Cisco networking. I have a career goal of becoming a solutions Architect, working for a Cisco Partner. I want to take what a business needs and convert that into solutions that will help them be successful.

With that being said, one of my biggest goals is to become one of the youngest Cisco Certified Internetwork Experts in Enterprise Infrastructure.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been tinkering with technology. When I turned 14, I achieved my first certification, which was a Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT). At 15, I became a CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) in Routing and Switching. I didn’t stop there, and later, I became a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing and Switching.

As you can see, I really have a passion for learning the in’s and out’s of computer networking. With that being said, the exam costs and studying for the CCIE is expensive, and there's only so much I can earn after school to cover the costs. The lab exam alone costs $1600 (excluding lodging and travel expenses). In addition, study materials for the exams can cost hundreds of dollars.

With the $6,000 I’m asking for, it will cover the costs of the lab exam, travel expenses/labbing, and study materials. I would be most appreciative of any donations! My ultimate goal, it to help develop a curriculum and mentor high school students so that they can gain their own Cisco Certifications.

Thanks,

Michael Hilton
