I was planning on starting my Doctorate in Education this year, but Covid has made that impossible now.
I've been a high school teacher for 31 years and have spent that time teaching my students to love learning as much as I love it.
I work in the same Catholic High School from which I graduated in 1986 - and getting my EdD (the practical education doctorate) will not raise my pay by more than a few hundred dollars a year. That's not why I'm doing this.
In 2-3 years, I would love to walk down the aisle at our graduation proudly wearing my Doctoral robes, an outward sign to my students that even at 52, you can always learn, and learning can change your life.
It takes a village to raise a child. In America, it takes a village to support students emotionally and financially.
Please be a part of my village! Help me make my students proud and show them how important education is.
