Hi, my name is Maria.

I moved to the UK from Italy with my British partner in 2018. In the past seven years, I have built a life, friendships, and a deep sense of belonging here. This country feels like my home. But right now, I don’t feel safe. The current political situation has created a climate of fear, and I’m worried it could one day push me out of the country I love. I am not ready to say goodbye. I believe in a better future for the UK, and I want to be part of making that future possible.

The application, however, is costly, far more than I can afford on my own.

That’s why I’m reaching out for help. With your support, I can apply for citizenship in May 2026 and secure the right to stay in the place where I truly belong.

I have committed to volunteering and litter-picking in my community to give back because I believe that being part of this country isn’t just about paperwork and waving a flag; it’s about caring for the people and places around you.
