Hi everyone,
I’m 19 years old and currently working as a store manager. Like a lot of people, I didn’t grow up with financial backing or an easy path into aviation—but becoming a pilot has been my dream for as long as I can remember.
Every time I’ve looked up at the sky, I’ve imagined myself in the cockpit. That dream hasn’t changed—but the reality is, the cost of training in the UK is incredibly high, often reaching £80,000–£100,000. Despite working full-time and doing everything I can to save, it’s been a constant struggle to get close to that goal.
I’ve worked hard to put myself in a stable position at a young age, becoming a manager and building responsibility early in life. It hasn’t always been easy—balancing long hours, financial pressure, and trying to move forward in aviation at the same time has tested me more than I expected. But I’ve never let go of this goal.
I’m now at a point where I’m ready to push forward with my training, but I need help to bridge the financial gap. Every contribution—no matter how small—will go directly toward flight training, exams, and the final steps needed to reach a commercial pilot licence.
This isn’t just about a career for me. It’s about proving that even without a privileged start, with enough determination and support, it’s still possible to achieve something big.
If you’re able to support, share, or even just take the time to read this, it genuinely means a lot. Thank you for helping me take one step closer to the cockpit.
