As you may be aware, for the last couple of years, I have battled stage IV lung cancer.  My health condition has deteriorated rapidly over the last couple of months causing me to depart from my job prematurely. Since I am on disability, my income is considerably less than it has been. My medical team believes I have received the maximum benefit from the traditional chemotherapy. Now, doctors are recommending that I try a clinical trial drug that has to be monitored in Chicago, Illinois.  Consequently, this will mean travel expenses on a regular basis. I cannot afford this. Those that know me, know that it is not easy for me to ask for assistance.
