I was diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma in November 2018. Cancer never crossed my mind when I began having a tooth ache late September. Upon diagnosis my life became a world wind; it was hurry up and wait game. The operation to remove the tumor was scheduled for January 4, 2019, the day before I received a call from the doctor stating the tumor was to large for him to operate and referred me to UCSF. Another month delay until a team of specialist were assembled to tackle the tumor. On February 11, 2019 my my life and future were in the hands of these amazing and kind doctors. After a 20 hour operation, I felt my life was returned to me even though the battle would continue with six weeks of radiation and chemo. I became very ill on several occasion, but I refused to stop. On July 3, I had incontrolable pain on my right side and was admitted back into UCSF. My spirit was crushed when I was told the cancer had spread to my lung. All I could think was, why me?
I refuse to give up! I was told about a clinic in Tijuana that provides alternative therapies for cancer. I need your help! I’ve never asked for money, but I am now. I want to live and ask for any amount you can spare. I know we all have our battles and I appreciate you making a difference.
