Help Me Land on My Feet Before the Year Ends!
Hi, I’m Shawn. I’m facing the very real threat of homelessness, and I need your help to survive it with a shred of stability and dignity.
Right now, I’ve got no job, no family to fall back on, and no safety net left. I’ve been trying everything: applying to jobs daily, freelancing, downsizing, scraping by. But this month, I was told I won’t be renewed on my current lease. I have until December to move out… but with rent rising and no steady income, I’ll need to leave sooner just to avoid completely crashing out.
This fundraiser isn’t about luxury living. It’s about survival:
Covering my remaining 7 months of rent so I don’t leave my roommates burdened.
Securing a modest new place to live, including security deposits and utility startup costs, which can be punishing if your credit is low (mine is).
Storage and moving so I don’t lose everything I own.
Enough of a buffer for transportation, and job-seeking while I stabilize.
I’m asking for $10,200 to break this crisis loop—not to thrive, but to land.
If you’ve ever been one missed paycheck away from disaster, you know how fast it happens. And if you’ve never had to calculate the cost of surviving, you know now: it’s terrifying. But with your help, I might be able to breathe, move forward, and build a future without panic hanging over every step.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing this would mean the world. Thank you.
