Help Me Avoid Eviction and Keep My Home

Hi everyone, this is incredibly hard for me to write, but I’m asking for help to avoid eviction this Monday. I have half of my rent saved, but after almost 2 months of downtime at my job, I’m short on the remaining balance. If I can’t pay before Monday, I will lose my apartment. The past year has been one of the most difficult periods of my life. I left an abusive relationship and went through the legal process to obtain a restraining order. Around that time, I began experiencing severe panic attacks and agoraphobia. I have medical documentation and court records, but more than anything, this has simply been a long and exhausting recovery process.

Eviction Notice

Agoraphobia isn’t just “being afraid to go outside.” It can develop after extreme stress, trauma and panic attacks. Your brain starts associating normal places like grocery stores, work, public spaces, etc with danger. Over time, the fear expands. You avoid one place, then another, and before you realize it, your world becomes very small. It can feel like your nervous system is stuck in survival mode, even when you’re safe. Recovery takes time, therapy, and often medication. It’s not something you can just push through. I used alcohol for some time to cope with it, not because I wanted it but because I need it to feel and do normal everyday things as small as going to the grocery store, or even my leasing office.

Domestic Violence restraining order

Because of my agoraphobia and anxiety, I haven’t been able to get an in-person job, the reason why I've been working from home. Two months ago I had to come with the hard decision to surrender my car, I simply couldn’t afford it anymore. My main priority is having a roof over my head, getting better and get the old Oriana back that many know. The good news is that I am getting better. With the right medication and support, I’ve made real progress. Next month, I will be starting a second job, and with both incomes it will help stabilize my income and allow me to keep moving forward. I am not asking for long-term support. Just help getting through this immediate emergency so I don’t lose my housing while I’m finally getting back on my feet. Any amount helps. Even sharing this means a lot to me. I’m deeply grateful for any support. Thank you for reading and for caring.
