I decided to start this fundraiser because going to the University of California, Davis has always been something I’ve worked really hard for, but if I’m being honest, the financial part is really overwhelming. Even with financial aid, there’s still so much to cover, like housing, books, and just everyday living, and it adds up fast. I didn’t want money to be the thing that holds me back from something I’ve put so much into.

Throughout high school, I’ve stayed really involved, balancing school, leadership in ASB, Spanish Club, volleyball, and band while also taking college classes. I’ve always tried to push myself and stay focused on my future, especially because I want to go into healthcare one day. This fundraiser is just helping me get a little closer to that. It would take a lot of pressure off and let me focus on doing my best in school and taking advantage of everything Davis has to offer.
