Help Me Attend the Washington Journalism & Media Conference!

Hi everyone! My name is Quincy, and I’m beyond excited to have the opportunity to attend the Washington Journalism and Media Conference Located Right outside Washington D.C.—a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will allow me to connect with top journalists, media professionals, tour federal monuments, buildings and connect with other passionate students from across the country.

Why This Means So Much to Me

For the past few years, I have dedicated myself to growing and strengthening student media. I’ve been a key part of rebuilding my high school’s news program that live streams the news every Friday to every class, ensuring that our school has a strong platform for student voices. I also help run the social media for my school district, keeping our community informed and engaged.

Beyond that, I run the Genoa-Kingston Cross Country media pages on Instagram & Facebook, bringing attention to the hard work and dedication of our athletes, and I now manage the Belvidere Bucs Baseball team’s social media on X (Formerly Twitter), Facebook & Instagram as well. Storytelling through media has become my passion, and this conference will help me take my skills to the next level.
