I am raising funds to cover the cost of a hotel room so I can attend an upcoming Intersex conference organized by Interconnect Support Group. As an administrator for Intersex Friends and Families on Facebook, a global group with over 1,300 members, this event is a vital opportunity for networking, advocacy, and mental health. The last conference I attended in Niagara Falls was an incredible experience, helping me feel less alone as an Intersex individual and providing valuable connections for both myself and my organization.

I already have a ticket for the event, but I need help affording the hotel room for the three-day weekend. Sharing a room with my boss, Vickie Boisseau, and a mutual friend from the Intersex Plus and Gender Expansive community will make the experience more immersive and comfortable. While there are alternate housing options, staying at the event hotel will allow me to fully participate and connect with others, making the most of this important opportunity.

I have been an LGBTQIA+ speaker since my university days and have volunteered with large Intersex groups since the late 1990s, starting with Organization Intersex International, where I served as a global board member and published poet. My work with Intersex Friends and Families has helped the group grow into a global community.
