Music has always been a huge part of my life, and the Suzuki Method has shaped me as both a musician and a teacher. When I was a kid, I was lucky to learn from a wonderful Suzuki piano teacher and attend summer Suzuki institutes. Those experiences made me fall in love with music and showed me how important a caring, supportive environment can be.

For the past three years, I’ve been teaching piano and sharing what I’ve learned with my students. I want to keep growing as a teacher, which is why I’m hoping to attend Suzuki piano teacher training at the Virginia Suzuki Institute. The training includes two courses: Every Child Can (ECC), a one-day prerequisite, and Piano Unit 1, a weeklong intensive. The funds raised will help cover tuition, boarding, meals, and travel so I can take part in this amazing opportunity.
