My mom, Constance Paulette, was the heart of our family and the person who taught me the importance of courage, respect, and living with a free spirit. She always supported my decisions, even when they took me far from home, and never hesitated to encourage me to explore the world. Her love was unconditional, and she made sure everyone in our family felt special—especially during the holidays, when she would prepare a favorite dish or dessert for each of us. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt by all of us, especially my family who called her Gran Gran.

She passed away yesterday in Vidalia, Louisiana, and her funeral is scheduled for next Friday. I am currently in Los Angeles, California, and I am not financially prepared to make the trip home to say goodbye. My cousin, who lives a few hours away, will also be traveling, and if I can join him, we will share travel costs and a rental car. I am seeking help to cover the round trip airfare, contribute to transportation, and help with food expenses while I am there for the week. Any support will help me honor my mom’s memory and be with my family during this difficult time.
