My grandmother suddenly passed away after a foot infection from a fall that quickly spread to the rest of her body. I’m on my last trimester of pregnancy with two toddlers and cannot travel by myself, so I need my husband and my kids to come with me. My grandmother and I were very close, and it was already hard to live far from her, so this is a really hard experience. I would never forgive myself if I wasn’t there for her funeral.

The funds will help cover flights and hotel stays for my family, since we have overnight layovers both ways for our connecting flights. This support will make it possible for all of us to be there to say goodbye and honor my grandmother. Being able to travel together as a family is important for our emotional well-being, especially during such a difficult time.
