Help Me Say Goodbye to My Dad

Hi, my name is Xmanthious, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart.

My dad was my best friend. He was my biggest supporter, my safe place, and someone I could always count on. He was also the goofiest, most loving, caring, and understanding father anyone could ask for. We were supposed to visit him soon — I never imagined the next time I’d be making that trip would be for his funeral.

His recent and unexpected passing has been the most devastating loss I’ve ever experienced.

Normally, when I travel to California, I stay with my dad. But now, for the first time, I’ll be making the trip without him — and with nowhere to stay. I’m flying from Texas to California to attend his funeral and say my final goodbye, and I’ll be going alone.

Since his passing, I’ve been trying to process my grief and haven’t been able to work. I’m also helping however I can with the funeral arrangements, and the costs are adding up quickly.

I’m asking for help to cover:

• A plane ticket

• A place to stay

• Transportation while I’m there (Ubers, etc.)

• Any additional help toward funeral expenses

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, and I would be incredibly grateful for any support — whether through donations or by sharing this campaign. Anything helps, and it means more than words can say.
