Help Me Attend My Dream School: African Leadership Academy
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Zeinab, and I am a 17 year old teenage girl from Upper Egypt, currently studying at a STEM school.
Ever since I was young, I’ve dreamed of using education as a powerful tool to create positive change not only for myself but for my community and the world. I believe that with knowledge, determination, and support, I can break barriers and inspire others, especially girls in my town, to pursue their dreams fearlessly regardless of their background.
That is why I am beyond grateful and excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the African Leadership Academy (ALA), one of the most prestigious and transformative schools on the continent, dedicated to developing the next generation of African leaders. ✨
ALA’s two-year pre-university program combines rigorous academics with leadership, entrepreneurship, and service learning, preparing young Africans like me to make a real impact in our communities and beyond. This opportunity is truly a dream come true.
Although I’ve been awarded a generous financial aid package that reduced my tuition from $61,800 to just $600 over two years, my family is still unable to cover some essential remaining costs needed to secure my place at ALA.
Here’s a breakdown of the amount I’m raising:
$570 - Remaining school fees (I should pay $600 for the two years, I have already paid $30)
$550 - Laptop purchase (ALA requires students to bring a device that meets specific technical requirements. Unfortunately, my current laptop is old and does not meet those standards, so I need to buy a new one)
$200 - Contingency fee (a mandatory emergency fund set by ALA)
$680 - University admission exam preparation, application fees, personal necessities, as well as supplementary costs and expenses that will face me in the future.
Total Goal: $2,000
This amount will allow me to attend ALA fully prepared and supported when school begins in August 2025.
Coming from Kom Ombo, a small town in Upper Egypt where opportunities like this are rare, I’ve worked incredibly hard to earn my place, and now I need your help to actually get there.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to attending the school that will shape my future and empower me to give back to my community with even more strength and purpose. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign would also mean the world to me. Thank you so much for believing in me and supporting my journey.
It’s worth mentioning that this is an unofficial fundraiser that is not endorsed, managed, or overseen by African Leadership Academy.
With hope and gratitude,
Zeinab
