On New Year’s Eve, my dad passed away unexpectedly. The loss has been harder than I ever expected it would be, especially as I try to navigate the grief during what should have been a time of celebration. My dad was not only my father, but also a loving grandfather to my two daughters, and his absence is felt by all of us.
His funeral is scheduled for January 16th at Arlington Cemetery in Quantico, Virginia. I want nothing more than to be there to honor his memory, say goodbye, and support my family as they grieve the loss of their grandfather. Unfortunately, the cost of a last-minute plane ticket and travel expenses is more than I can afford right now. Being able to attend the funeral is an important part of the grieving process for me and my family, and I am reaching out for help so we can be together during this difficult time.
Any support would mean the world to me. Your kindness will help me find closure as I say my final goodbyes. Thank you for considering helping me during this challenging moment.
