Hi, my name is Halo Carpentieri, and I’m raising funds to attend the CIEE Japanese Language & Culture program in Kyoto, Japan from June 7 – July 4, 2026. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me to immerse myself in Japanese language and culture, gain independence, and experience life in a completely new environment.

The total cost for the program and flights is $4,000, and I’m reaching out for your support to help make this dream a reality. This program isn’t just about travel it’s about learning valuable life skills, building independence, and growing as a person. Living in Japan for this period will challenge me to step out of my comfort zone, communicate in a new language, and navigate daily life in a foreign culture. These experiences will be invaluable for my personal growth and future goals, including enhancing my college applications and preparing me for a global future.
