I had the opportunity to attend the Labor Notes Conference in 2022 (see pics), and it was an incredibly educational, meaningful & inspiring experience. As someone who works full time as a union organizer, I found the workshops and connections I made there to be invaluable for my work. This year, I am hoping to return to the conference to continue learning and to bring back new ideas and strategies to support my fellow workers.
The costs for this trip adds up quickly—registration and travel from Florida to Chicago. I did find a place to stay with a friend so that will keep costs down. As a single mom, my budget is already maxed out every month, and I want to make sure that attending this conference doesn’t put us in a bad situation financially when I get back. I have talked myself out of even trying to go multiple times, but some good friends said that is not an option! That’s why I’m reaching out for support from friends, family, and anyone who believes in the importance of strong unions and worker solidarity.
Your help will make it possible for me to attend Labor Notes and continue growing as an organizer. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated. Thank you for considering supporting my journey!
