Hi everyone! I’m raising money to attend the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Spring Convention in New York City, where I’ll participate in hands-on journalism workshops at Columbia University and learn from professional journalists. This is an incredible opportunity that will help me grow as a student journalist and prepare for a future in media.

I’ve been passionate about writing since I was a little kid, inspired by my grandpa who shared his scripts with me and encouraged me to write my own stories. My love for journalism really took off during my sophomore year when I took an introductory journalism class and discovered how much I enjoyed reporting and storytelling. Since then, I’ve become the editor of my high school’s newspaper website and I’m currently an intern for the Davis Vanguard, where I have an article published every week. These experiences have deepened my commitment to pursuing journalism in college and beyond.

Attending the CSPA Spring Convention will give me the chance to connect with other student journalists, learn from professionals, and expand my expertise. The workshops and networking opportunities will be invaluable as I continue to build my skills and gain real-world experience. Any support you can give would mean so much to me and will help make this dream possible. Thank you for believing in my journey!
