Hi, ! My name is Yana and I’m 13 years old.

I’m very excited to share that I was accepted to study this summer at the Berlin Opera Academy in Berlin! What makes this even more special is that the Academy usually only accepts singers who are 18 and older — but they accepted me at 13. I feel so honored and grateful for this chance.

The program costs €4950 tuition, but excludes travel and housing. I’m raising funds to help make this dream possible. Any support — even sharing this page — means so much to me. I love singing opera. I will be performing in Berlin as the Bridesmaid in Le nozze di Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. At the Academy, I will prepare four arias for masterclasses and study the role of Cherubino. I know this experience will help me grow, learn from amazing teachers, and become a better singer and performer.

As a member of the Detroit Opera Youth Chorus, I will perform Dwarf Glóin in The Hobbit Opera, with our final performance on May 2nd at the Detroit Opera House. I’m also an Honors Roll student at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Michigan. I’m proud to represent my school in Berlin and bring back everything I learn to share in my classes and performances.
