Need Sponsors for Pre-collegiate Program Tuition

Hi, I'm Avery.

I'm an inquisitive, sixteen year old that has loved science and engineering for as long as I can remember. Even as a little kid, I took household items apart to see how things work. I'm especially fascinated with aeronautics and aerospace, and hope to one day become a mechanical engineer.

I've just been accepted into a prestigious, pre-collegiate summer program at Northwestern University!

It's a two week in person "InFocus Seminar" in June called So You Want to be a Rocket Scientist? Aerospace Engineering

The program is $3,500 and I wasn't aware of this opportunity until after the scholarship deadline. But I decided to apply anyway and after a rigourous application process I was promptly accepted.

The class consists of lectures, readings, group work, field trips, hands on projects, introduction to aerospace engineering concepts such as propulsion and aircraft geometry with practical application of the material to create my own model aircraft, all on Northwestern's historic campus.

I would also receive an official Northwestern University transcript and certificate upon completion of the course.

I will begin applying to colleges soon as a perspective engineering student and this would be an amazing learning experience for me.

I'm employed as a part time swim instructor but as a dedicated student in excellent academic standing, and competitive swimmer with a rigorous practice and competition schedule, I don't have time to work many hours during the school year.

So I don't have the funds for this unexpected opportunity and am asking for help. In order to hold my spot, I need to put down a deposit of $900 as soon as possible.
