Help Me Attend Advanced Qigong Training in France

In May of 2008 I went to the Shambhala Mountain Center for the first time. I went at a time of transition, and wanted to get away and do a weekend workshop. I picked up their brochure and saw the weekend I wanted to go there was a Qigong class - Levels 1 & 2, no prerequisites. I had always wanted to learn qigong. I knew little about it other than it worked with energy (which I wanted.) I was a little worried that this teacher "Eva," might be a new age blond from california... I could never have been more mistaken.

Taking that qigong class - the first she taught at the Mountain Center, was a turning point in innumerable ways. It challenged me, and it healed something in me. That summer I took levels 3,4 & 5, and then in September made the journey to Karme Choling in Vermont for the first "intensive" levels. That led to my Shambhala Buddhist training, and then I was off into a new life and a new world.

Qigong is the most powerfully transformational thing I've done in my life. It clears the energetic channels, and gives strength and flexibility to the body.

This year, I have the opportunity to attend an advanced Qigong training being offered by Eva Wong in France. It has been several years since I've been able to attend a qigong program since she has stopped teaching locally. This year, with the encouragement of another student, and a little good fortune with airfares, I am able to go. The programs I am taking are ten days total and are requirements to advance and take future trainings. It is also my first time visiting france.

My life has been somewhat upside down the past few years, and I am hoping that once again Qigong may provide the proper transformational medicine to put things to rights. I currently work part time as a caregiver, and part time driving ride-share. I live very much on the edge financially, though I work hard and do my best to support my community in the ways that I can.
